After a long work week, "Ricky" & I set out to McKenna Childrens Museum this past weekend, groupon in hand, to enjoy some fun discovery time with our little Ms:)
*Warning: lots of pictures to commence...
We headed to the outdoor area first where Jonah loved splashing in the water & Livy fished for rubber duckies...

We headed to the outdoor area first where Jonah loved splashing in the water & Livy fished for rubber duckies...
...and then to the outdoor orchestra...
...where my little Ms made "music":)
Next, I chased Jonah to the indoor campground...
...where he grilled...
...and rode in a canoe:)
We then meandered to to the play house...
...in search of Livy, whom we found washing dishes:)
A few renditions of "Ho McDonald" were sung with the old fashioned radio...
...before we headed to the corral...
...for some giddy up...
...and then Livy was off again...
...to the construction site...
...to work on her home building skills:)
We then entered the hospital where she sorted x-rays...
...before beginning patient assessments...
...and administering meds:)
Livy then checked her baby's morning weight...
...gave her a bath...
...dried her off...
...worked on swaddling techniques...
...and then administered breakfast:)
About this time, we noticed Jonah & Daddy were by the "operation" table...
...where Jonah tested out the tongs as a stethoscope...
...and activated life support:)
Livy was a bit more conscientious as a surgeon, ensuring her patient's bones were replaced in the correct order:)
A quick ride in the ambulance brought us to...
...the grocery store, where buttons awaited Jonah's itchy fingers!
Jonah loved 'checking out'...
...and then headed to the meat market...
...while Livy prepared a fresh pizza...
...adding lots of toppings...
...and carefully placing her pizza in the hot oven...
...where it glowed under the red light...
...until the timer went off...
...and was ready to serve:)
Jonah opted to try his hand at pizza making, foregoing the tray...
...and then resumed his place at the register...
...where Livy unloaded her very full shopping cart...
...before running back to the bakery to pop some bread in the oven...
...patiently waiting for a perfect crust:)
Jonah meandered to the toddle corner...
...to work on some puzzles & problem solving...
...while Livy worked in the train yard...
And we finished up with some dancing...
A visit to the Chick-fil-A drive through commenced where we munched while watching Mickey Mouse- at this point, nary a peep was heard from Jonah, thoroughly pooped!
Once home, "Ricky" took the kids to the pool and then doled out ice cream on the patio...
...and it was thoroughly enjoyed!
I've been looking for a train table for the past month on Craigslist/resale to put away for Christmas for our little Ms, so imagine my delight when we found this beauty & for a whopping $60 vs $175!!!

And the cherry on the top to this fabulous day?
A trip to our favorite resale shop where we found this Imaginarium train table & train set!!!
I've been looking for a train table for the past month on Craigslist/resale to put away for Christmas for our little Ms, so imagine my delight when we found this beauty & for a whopping $60 vs $175!!!
I left the shop fairly skipping out the door and went to bed that night on a cloud- it was a perfect day:)
Tiffany
It was a slight fiasco getting the table in the car with all of us, but it's now safely hidden in the garage awaiting its debut for Christmas!!!
