DIY Tea Stain Remover

For the past 6+ months, Baby M & I have craved black tea (decaf!) and been drinking mugs of it each day.

Here's the result:/

My poor mugs have been acquiring more & more buildup until I just couldn't stand it anymore, so today I tackled the problem with a DIY, natural coffee/tea stain remover.

I simply sprinkled some baking soda in the bottom of each mug, poured a little hydrogen peroxide in and swirled to combine...

...then I scrubbed with an old toothbrush...

...and voila!  All clean!

This process took just a few minutes and resulted in 'brand new' mugs.

*Several mugs were extremely stained- two applications did the trick though!*

Natural Drain Cleaner

After cooking my Mamaw's Meat & Rice today, I noticed the kitchen sink drain was due for a good cleaning...

...so I grabbed the el cheapo vinegar & baking soda that I keep on hand for natural & kid safe cleaning and called Peanut to help:)  

This provided a "science experiment" of sorts while accomplishing necessary cleaning- bonus!

Simply pour approx 1/2 cup baking soda into your drain...

...smoosh inside with a spoon...

...pour approx 1 cup vinegar inside and...

...promptly cover so the "reaction" will do it's thing inside the drain!  Easy, cheap & kids love it!  

Another great way to get toddlers involved with safe, green household cleaning:)
